Vanessa joined UNFPA’s London Representation Office in 2022, with a focus on advocacy for UNFPA’s global programmes, building partnerships across the public and private sector, and supporting strategic communications. Prior to joining UNFPA she worked as a journalist at the Financial Times for over a decade, covering a variety of subjects. She also previously served on the Secretariat of the UN Women All-Party Parliamentary Group in the UK and in 2021 co-edited its inaugural report on the “Prevalence and reporting of sexual harassment in UK public spaces”. Vanessa holds a Masters degree in Journalism from Goldsmiths College (University of London) and a Jt. Honours BA degree in Political Science and History from McGill University in Canada.
