Dr Madina Kara

Fight for Sight

Dr Madina Kara is the Director of Research and Innovation responsible for developing and implementing the charity’s research strategy, delivering scientific grant funding and monitoring impact. Prior to joining Fight for Sight, Madina worked at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), where she held several roles, most recently as the Multiple Long Term Conditions Strategy Implementation Lead. She was previously Research Awards Manager at the Stroke Association. Madina has worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at Barts and the London School of Medicine. She has a PhD in Cardiovascular Sciences and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Edinburgh.
