With a BEng and PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Kristina has worked at the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) for over twelve years. Starting out in Quality Management, moving on to Environmental Management and most recently Project Management, Kristina has an interest in utilising systems and processes to drive research outputs. Kristina is the consortium manager for the £10M 5G Factory of the Future project funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, with partners including BAE Systems, IBM, aql,  Machine Tool Technologies Ltd, Digital Catapult and Fuuse Limited. Prior to her first appointment at the AMRC, Kristina enjoyed seven years in commercial R&D at a University of Sheffield spin out company. The novel technology developed there was successfully transferred into the operations of a major multinational biosciences company. Kristina is credited as an author on seven peer reviewed journal articles and inventor/author on three patents. In 2022, Kristina took up the role of Manager of the Innovation Launchpad Network+.
