Hollie Panther

Lay Research Panel Member

Alopecia UK

Hollie has been a volunteer lay research panel member for Alopecia UK for around 4 years, which generally involves reviewing research funding applications and assessing the extent to which the researcher has taken into account the experiences of people living with alopecia in their research design, and the extent to which the research topic is meaningful to the people who’d ultimately be affected by it. The lay research panel also advises researchers on their early stage applications, as well as on their research materials, so as to include patient voice early on in the research design process.
