3 December 2024 In-person, BMA House, London Driving real-world impact from health research

Dr. Jordan Moxey

Science Programme Manager

THIS Labs

Jordan oversees the delivery of projects hosted on THIS Labs’ online platform for collaboration, innovation and improvement, Thiscovery. An academic doctor by background, with qualifications in Medicine, International Health, and Management from the University of Birmingham and the University of Cambridge, she now works with researchers, improvers, evaluators and more to deliver a range of online projects that aim to build evidence about how to improve health and care services. Excited by the possibility of using technology for social impact, and the need to deliver high-quality, engaging, and user-friendly online projects, she has decided to study simultaneously for a PhD (part-time) at the University of Cambridge with Professor Mary Dixon-Woods (Director at The Healthcare Improvement Studies Institute). Her PhD research explores ‘what good looks like’ for large-scale, online collaborative efforts in healthcare improvement. She aims to build evidence about how online platforms can best be used by the health and care system to understand problems, co-design solutions, and evaluate them, at scale.
