National Institute for Health and Care Excellence

Fiona is the Programme Director of the Centre for Guidelines at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence where she has oversight of the development of evidence-based guidance for the health, public health and social care sectors. After a career that started in academia, she moved into the public sector working at the Office for National Statistics focusing on health and disability and then onto the Equality and Human Rights Commission where she was Director of Research and Public Policy.
