Arlene is leading on a programme of work that aims to build analytical capability within the Health Foundation’s analytical and data management teams. She is also responsible for developing a data strategy for the Health Foundation to ensure we adapt to the changing landscape for access to health-related data in the UK. Arlene’s background is in analysing electronic healthcare record data, having led a team of researchers at the Clinical Practice Research Datalink for many years. She has experience with the delivery of data for research projects, developing reproducible analytical pipelines, and designing efficient tools. Her academic work has focused on the use of observational data in pharmacoepidemiology and database linkage. She has served on review committees and journal editorial boards. Following an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences (Queen Mary, University of London) and MSc in Medical Statistics (University of Leicester), Arlene completed a PhD in electronic healthcare records (Utrecht University, The Netherlands).
