Jenni is a health services researcher by background, having been in academic research posts for over twenty years at Universities including the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University College London, and the University of Cambridge. Her research has spanned surveys, interviews, randomised controlled trials, observational research and various other approaches – unsurprisingly, at heart she is a mixed methods researcher. Jenni has worked on topics including patient experience, the quality and safety of maternity care, the organisation and delivery of primary care, inequalities in care, and long term conditions. She has extensive experience of teaching qualitative research approaches, mixed methods and surveys at postgraduate level and of supervising postgraduate and doctoral students. Having decided to jump into a new challenge, Jenni is now Head of Science at THIS Labs, the organisation behind the Thiscovery online platform. In this role, she is responsible for leading the programme delivery team, providing methodological expertise to projects on Thiscovery, and developing new approaches to online research and engagement projects.
